Creating a List of Blocked Senders

Use the Blocked Senders page of Junk Mail Manager to create a list of senders whose messages are always subject to Junk Mail filtering. Such messages are always treated as junkmail and subjected to your specified Junk Mail filter action (quarantine or discard). Important! Allowed Senders entries override Blocked Senders entries.

To create a Blocked Senders list:

  1. Click Blocked Senders from the links on the left.
    The Blocked Senders page displays.
  2. In the E-mail Address or Domain text box, enter the address or domain of a sender you want on your Blocked Senders List. The following table lists some valid address and domain entries.
    —Example Entries—
    Entry What happens
allan@example.com The user allan is added to your Blocked Senders list.
@example.com Any address at example.com is added to your Blocked Senders list.
@*.example.com Any address at any host within the example.com domain is added to your Blocked Senders list.
  3. Click Add.
The names are added to your Blocked Senders list, which updates to reflect the new entries. Mail sent from senders on your Blocked Senders list is acted on by the Junk Mail filter (if enabled).
  4. (Optional) Remove an address or domain from your list box by doing the following:
    1. Select one or more entries and click Remove.
      A confirmation page appears.
    2. Click Remove.
The selections disappear from your Blocked Senders list and are treated as regular mail.
