Editing Junk Mail Manager Actions
You can change how Junk Mail Manager acts on your junkmail or stop Junk Mail Manager from taking any action on your junkmail by turning it off. If you turn it off, your junkmail will be delivered directly to your regular e-mail account.
To edit Junk Mail Manager actions:
- From the links on the left, click Controls.
The Edit Junk Mail Filter page displays.
- In the Select a Filter Condition area, click one of the following options:
- Normal (only junkmail gets this filter action): Only system-identified junkmail is
subject to your specified filter action.
- Exclusive (all mail not from Allowed Senders gets this filter action): All mail from senders not
on your Allowed Senders list is subject to your specified filter action. Mail from senders on the Allowed Senders list goes to your Inbox.
Note: If you select Off (no mail gets this filter action), Junk Mail Manager sends all messages that the system identifies as junkmail to your regular e-mail account.
- In the Select a Filter Action area, click one of the following options:
- Quarantine (message is delivered to Junk Mail Manager): Messages identified as junkmail are quarantined by Junk Mail Manager until you act upon them or they expire. This is the default option.
- Discard (message is irrevocably lost): Junkmail messages
are deleted. Deleted messages cannot be retrieved.
- Click Set.
The system accepts your settings for the Junk Mail filter. Incoming
messages are filtered and acted upon as directed.
