Setting Summary Message Frequency
You can set the frequency that Junk Mail Manager Summary messages are
sent to your e-mail account.
To set summary message frequency:
- Click Summaries from the links on the left.
The Summaries page displays.
- (Optional) Select Don't send me empty summaries so that you do not receive summaries when you do not have any quarantined messages.
By default, you will receive Junk Mail Manager Summary e-mails even if none of your mail has been quarantined. The e-mail says: "This Junk Mail Manager account has received no new junkmail since the last summary was sent." Select this option to avoid receiving empty summaries.
- Select one of the following to choose how often notifications are sent to
your e-mail account:
- Never—Summary messages are never sent. If you select this option, you will still be able to open and read your quarantined messages by clicking My Junk Mail.
- Weekly—Summaries are sent once each week.
- Weekdays—Summaries are sent once each day, but not on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Daily—Summaries are sent once each day.
- Custom Daily Schedule—Summaries are sent every day at the times listed. These times are determined by your system administrator, and, as such, can be changed at any time. Changes to the intervals can occur without your knowledge, depending on whether your system administrator decides to inform you.
- Click Set.
Note: If you want, you can ignore messages listed in summaries.
Quarantined messages are deleted after a period of time set by your administrator. The default
is 14 days. Or, you can move messages to the Trash.
If necessary, see Using the Junk Mail Manager Summary E-mail.
